Aren't we all?!!!

Due to massively rising costs, they've not been made for a few years now!

I know that they're like Rocking Horse manure, but I'm just putting it out there.

Amongst Ted's Stuff there is a new, unused, boxed original Dolomite Sprint Register grille badge from the days when it remained a subsidiary of Club Triumph!

I'm a member of the FB group "Enthusiasts of british cars built before 1985", a mouthful, I know! The group is absolutely massive, with well over 10,000 members worldwide.

They have just had a run of 150 (I think) grille badges produced for the group (which sold out in days) and I know the guy personally who had them made. Since he lives in Brum, it's a fair bet that the supplier is also local.

If anyone would like me to make enquiries..............

Steve

Do so Steve, I sent an enquiry to Premier Badges earlier today; we can compare the two...

The ones which are now long since sold out were produced back in the 1990s and when the new Club management team took over in 2001 there were about 20 of them left. We eventually sold out of them a few years ago, having kept the price at the same level (I think we sold them at about £5 each). Check out this topic for what happened next viewtopic.php?f=14&t=10237
When we last enquired the best deal we could get was for a minimum run of 500 units and that was at about £15 each.

I would be interested in one at a sub £15 cost.

Me too... I'll take two, please!! Is it worth canvassing club members, perhaps through 'Dolly Mixture'?

A timely nudge on this one; I never received a response. I'll follow up with them tomorrow...

I have no idea where the suggestion that sub £15 in small quantity supply was achievable came from.

Andy reported that a quantity of 500 was required to achieve that several years ago. We may have 500+ members, but unlikely to invest £7.5k in this venture as I’d suggest the uptake on grille badges is likely to be 10% tops!
