You can try autosparks. The description and picture on their site of that particular item isn't correct but a phone call/email is easily made. Around 15GBP for a type fit.

Dave,

Try this company

http://www.vehicle-wiring-products.eu/

they sell all the parts you need to make up a suitable earth strap.

I have used them a lot over the years and they are very good.

I've managed to get everything I needed to make up a battery cable.
Image
Halfords 18" battery cable (£4.99)
Halfords 9" battery cable (£4.49 half the length and a bit thinner but only 50p cheaper?)
Negative battery terminal from a local motor factor (£5).

The total cost was £14.48

Should have known you don't take advice and alway's choose to pay more for less and, don't want to save time because you have enough and end up with an end result that does look like nothing.

I give up.

Buy a NEW battery, the new lead will make no difference because you battery is knackered. Like James said, get on-line to Tayna they are cheap.

Karl, I'm going to order a new battery (I'm sure I said I was going to order one in a previous post). Poor earths can cause problems so I'm trying to eliminate any possible problems hence the replacement leads and terminal.

I've just ordered a new battery from Euro Car Parts. They're currently offering 33% off (the code is "SAVE33") which worked out at just a smidge over £45 with free same day delivery (available if you spend more than a tenner) so it might be there when I get home from work.

I don't know which one you got from ECP as all of the good ones are £100 plus. You should have gone to Tayna and got this.

https://www.tayna.co.uk/B34-Varta-Blue- ... P3207.html

There is also no point in getting a new battery if you then go and neglect it. All of my batteries go onto a conditioner when not in use which is why I only change batteries once every blue moon.

One of these.

Yes, it my own stupid fault for not checking the battery more often. I wouldn't let the caravan's leisure battery end up like that. THIS is the one I ordered from Euro Car Parts and once I'd applied the discount it came to £45.55

When you have a good look and try hard James you actually can find some good reviews about the LION batteries. They also used the code DAVE33%.

Jeroen
The good review that you found was for the film Lion Jeroen, not the car battery!
