OMG....Fantastic job mate. Have to say that it's my colour. Brings back memories of Ed Bishops 'Purple Power' Sprint.

will have to make time to get to see in the flesh.

Regards

Stunning, unbelievable job Mart.

Of course, the windscreen is the best bit

Have just seen THJ in the metal. Wow, wow, wow. What a beautiful job.

Mary said the bodywork still needs a few bits doing. Similarly, Tess Daley could do with getting her nails done

I think you can officially post an avatar of THJ in the blank box with the question mark now (It's beginning to look like a Sprint hall of fame) =D>

Tess has great nails, but the Magenta car is closer to perfect than her, I suspect. :D

Absolutely stunning.

Do a mallard one next.

Should a N plate Sprint have the chrome/stainless cill top trims? If you want some I have some spares...and bresco do the clips, which match Rover P6 ones.
I havent refitted mine cos they are rust points.

Thanks Jon. Yes it should have the sill/cill top trims. I have the clips but not the trims. I'm not sure if I want to put them on anyway, it looks ok without them. If I do change my mind it won't take long to fit them. :D

Another stunner indeed! I wasn't sure about the colour, but it looks fantastic now.

I think the airbox is the best bit.

Ice blue next? (No need to specify model)

Mad Mart wrote:Phew! finished (well near as damn it). Been trying desperately to get it ready for Castle Combe tomorrow. We went for a sedate drive this evening, with Mary at the wheel. The strange intermittent squealing noise we heard yesterday was still there so we popped back home & I jacked it up & removed the right front wheel. Spun the hub & realised it was the bottom heat shield was touching the disc. I think the MoT tester did that.

Well done, Mart! (I haven't checked back in the Forum for a while, so this is belated - been playing with my "new" 2009 335i Coupe recently.) Hard to believe that it was the end of November that Alex and I were picking up PFJ from you in Weston-super-Mare...and here you and your right-hand-assistant have already cranked out another one (that looks even better). PFJ is still running like the proverbial freight train - LEJOG did not phase the old girl at all. Just turn the key, and she is ready to do whatever is asked.
