Hello mate, brilliant to hear from you!

She is indeed coming along but the wing is annoying me lol.

I'm not too bad mate, the back and legs are a problem but I just take each day at a time.

Piccies will be here shortly, have no fear.

What's happening with your car?

Well little white Tolly has been sold and is due to move to Manchester. The new custodian is a chap called Daniel and he is mad keen to get hold of her and get her sorted.

I have not forsaken small Triumphs and have obtained a green Dolly 1300 which brings me full circle to the model of Dolomite that kicked off the whole thing again a few years ago.

Here is the current state of play for LWT, I will fit the headlights, grilles and bumper tomorrow then get her dusted off and ready for collection on Tuesday. She needs a proper respray and that is beyond me I am afraid.

Here is her replacement:

I will start a new thread for her shortly.......

I notice that, coincidentally, both LWT and your new LGD have the sidelights on the "wrong" way round.

Holy Thread Resurrection!

The LWT is due to be repatriated to me on Thursday.

Apart from paint which I will have to sort out slowly but surely, the OD gear stick has snapped and it MAY need new carb mounts as it is thought that these are leaking.

Anyone got any of the above?

Cheers

Ken

I think LWT is no longer an appropriate name for the car!

Henceforth it should be known as "Boomerang" for obvious reasons!

Boomerang! Nah. Always LWT ;)

I don't recall them looking fatigued but Daniel was told this by a workmate who was a former mechanic. I think it might be coil related.

I guess I could try and sleeve the gearstick somehow. I shall have a think. Anyway, I shall report back on Thursday :)

Watch this space.............

Good to hear from you guys again :)

Me too. I was only asking Colin if he'd heard from you, a couple of weeks ago.

I'm half surprised you haven't bought project SB back off Kevin, that one's actually roadworthy!

LWT was a swap for a Seat 133 ;)

LWT will be undergoing some changes!
