What thread is in the door pins? I thought it was a random self tapper type of thread on the bar/rods they screw on to? Look very nice Tony |

If they're aluminum then a slightly over-size hole would probably let it self-tap enough - it's not like they have that much force on them. I can't imagine you'd be able to machine a custom internal thread that small on a lathe (although I always underestimate what people can do with enough experience).Tony Either that or you cut the end of the rod off they fit on to and put a known-thread bolt/threaded bar on it. This is truly inspirational stuff! thank you for sharing. I reckon that car will be twice as good as it was when it came off the line.. Can I ask what the soundproofing on the roof is? I've just started on my Dolly (fully stripped mechanically and on rotisserie), so I'm still in the state of depression and awe at how much work there is to do, but I'm looking forward to following in your footsteps.
