No probs Jonners, the steering is actually pretty light, but I'm used to the Toledo's steering as my everyday (with a Sprint steering wheel, the Toledo one is a joke), so whilst the Toledo is a one hand twiddle, the Sprint is a two hand twiddle. I've been moving it around here and to be honest I only drove it back from Rob's with 7x13's all round and that's about 3 miles. Sorry to say, on that drive it felt horrible
It wanted to follow every contour in the road.
As POE was not on the road (no MOT, and I was still playing with bits) and I had a track day booked we took Rob's race Dolly - that's got some fat rubber and drove lovely. I say lovely on a nice smooth track, as a passenger on normal roads at the Manx classic it was horrible with all the rose joints. But on track it was superb, that gave me a lot of confidence that we can iron out any handling problems. Rob's car was setup for hill climbs and he felt the additional negative camber helped on track. POE's suspension was all set to standard before my Spa trip, where she felt lovely on the 175's.
I took my dad out in Rob's car, and after having a few laps in a McLaren 650s and Caroline's monster - we both agreed they are faster but the Dolly was far more fun. And boy can Rob's Dolly go - it accelerates in 4th better than POE does in 2nd.
I want POE to be nice to drive on road and track, so with a few mates who know a damn site more than me about suspension setup I'm sure we'll get her feeling good. Then finally I'll play with the engine.
Shaun - I was planning on putting standard hubs back on with some TJ brakes, I don't think I'd get 8x13's on the front with the ST setup (GT6 hubs) - I'll get a set made up and try them and let you know. I can use either the ST or the TJ setup on the Toledo so they won't go to waste.
