There is a reason for the sierra/golf brake conversion.............. It will just be for looking at. Jonners This car absolutely going to be used. As much as possible....(not on salty winter roads) Plan is to use it as a "number two car" and off course full throttle track day fun...... I see enough cars beautiful restored then newer used. To be honest, that makes me a bit angry. One day we (me and the sprint) are going for holiday trip to England, maby catch up a triumph meeting or track day... Cheers |

In case you haven't already noticed, one of your front sidelights is the wrong way round (the left one as you look at the front of the car). This is going to be a real stunner! |

I would leave the indicators this way. It saves a lot of future discussions. Jeroen |

In response to an earlier post Zinc plate will stay shiny, only if the zinc plate has been treated with a passivate, prior to drying post plating. Zinc plating is also a form galvanising - the traditional dull galvanised finish on larger metal pieces where you can see large "crystals" of zinc on the surface is generally achieved by dipping the material to be protected in molten zinc. Zinc electroplating can be used to create extremely bright and shiny surfaces by careful prep of the surface to be plated and by controlling the particle size of the zinc deposit with additives in the plating bath. A decorative finish can be maintained if a passivate is used. On an aside the car looks fantastic!!! |

Cheers.... Now everything on the car works. (Brakes, lights). The satin black on the rearplate and sills is the next step. The engine is still missing, not finished yet, but in progress. Here some pic's after first wash
