Ken

In my shed next to the garage, there is a 1300 interior, i'm sure it's the same colour vinyl as yours, will see if I have a pic

Seats fit and are a good upgrade as they are much comfier. Sadly the door trims are totally different to the RWD ones but thank you for thinking of me mate :D Thought you sold the seats?

Woolies do a spray but colour matching requires a min order of 4 cans at nearly £20.50 per can then you have the cleaner and primer to but too. Gets a bit pricey then.

wow, she's a little cracker Ken, the damson colour looks really good in the boot and she looks in fine condition.

I've just gone through fuel tank pains here, not quite as much rubbish as you pulled out, but frustrating when a small amount of gunk blocks up the system. I treated my tank interior with a sealant, I'll get the info up in my resto thread, which has even less activity picture wise than yours :smooch:

I think you posted the pic of the dribble in the wrong forums.

well done, a little beauty there. Very satisfying yeah ?

and thanks for the pics, made my sunday morning they did.

Cheers Stu, yes, very satisfying.

I will try and fit the new dizzy today and the new HT leads if I have enough time.

One thing that doesn't show on the pics and will prevent the car from looking lovely...... the roof. Sadly it has numerous dings and dents. I don't mind hugely to be honest but it would look much more obvious in shiny Damson.

I will look at making some door cards a la Al's Tolly. I have the plastic sheet and foam, I would just need to get some beige vinyl. Hmm, watch this space.

which will be kept in the boot just in case.

Bye bye points and condenser:

Hello new 'lecky dizzy, dizzy cap and HT leads (which felt SO much more secure):

Some tweaking will be required next week.

The alternator was already on there when I bought the car. A proper chrome and glass one re: filter. Fitted the right way round as well.

Here's a thought, paint the car Damson and add a vinyl roof to disguise all the dents! A bit novel and VERY period!

That would be the best idea but the roof would still require some work to stabilise some of the dents which have stretched the metal slightly.

Its do-able though, a good panel beater can accomplsh near miraculous repairs! I know a couple (and I'm not bad myself) but distance is probably a problem!
Or you can go the cheap and chicken route and use filler! Normally on a large flat panel like a roof, its difficult and time consuming to effect a decent filler job but vinyl is SO much more forgiving than paint!
