Sorry to anybody watching this as it has come to a standstill for a couple or reason. But mainly because college work is becoming stupid as only three weeks left. Hope to crack back on this when college is done. Thank you.

I've been to see this car when I delivered the instrument panel and the bodywork looks quite solid. Once it has been resprayed and it has all been put back together it shouldn't need much to get through an MoT. It currently has a 1300 engine with the twin carbs off the original 1500 lump.

That looks great...!

As a Toledo owner I just have the 'flat-pank' dash so I am very envious of you folks with all your fancy dials...!!!

The sprint dash can be put in a Toledo as my dad has done it back in his younger days...

Just a quick addition.

Hopefully picking up a new complete set of dark brown interior and carpets to add to the car as the old interior carpets have seen better days.

Does anyone know or anywhere i could get hold of a 1300 or a 1500 gearbox by anychance?

Thanks, Louis.

Is this with or without overdrive? If you're converting to overdrive on then you'll need the extra wiring loom, the cross member and possibly a replacement propshaft.

33 years ago I did a similar thing and bought a dolomite, it is great to see younger folk still getting all enthused, just as I did all those years ago !

Good work on the car so far, you have taken on a fair bit of work but you are making steady progress. Keep going and thanks for the pics.

It is just standard 4 speed without overdrive.
