Are you keeping the engine white tony? I forgot to ask last time I came down what the offset and size were of the minilites that you are going to be using?as I may put them on my 1300

Yeah engine is staying white, wanted it to be a bit different, also good for spotting any leaks!

Not sure of the offset or the width but they are 15", I have had them ages now. The offset is not the same as the sprint alloy as they rub the rear arches if you don't take the lip off.

I am glad they came in useful to you. The paint job looks superb in the sun, which shade of red is that ?

Cheers guys for the comments the paint job is superb & it still needs to be machined polished when it goes back to have to doors, bonnet & boot fitted.

The shell is now back with me & the enormity of the task of putting it back together has now struck me, as everything that goes back on the car needs to be as good as the paint job so either needs to be new or refurbed, it is a time & money consuming beast.

The paint colour is a not a Triumph colour, it is new mini chilli red

The rear lights look good, is it staying bumperless? Have you used a new loom or are you sticking with the original wiring?

No bumpers, the original loom is being used, it is in really good condition, just need to change the connectors for the Chevette lights.

Lee, where did you buy your Gaz shocks from, I've been looking at my Spax & they look shot.

Those Chevette units look more original than the normal "nicked off a caravan" Triumph ones! :woohoo:

Blimey, that looks lovely...

I wonder what other 'alternative' light units could be used on a Dolomite? Those Chevette ones look great...!

I got mine from Motorsportworld. Bargain.
Also, may have to copy the rear of that car! Love it!

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses.
Hit it.

Cheers for that, about £100 cheaper than others, just ordered them, just heard no stock so they are on a 2-3 week leadtime, I'm in no rush so no problem.

Glad you like the cars rear end, took me ages to find a decent pair of Chevette lights, they seem pretty rare in good condition so people ask silly money.

Not like Dolomite rear lights that turn up on virtually every stall at autojumbles.
