All the front suspension bushes can be replaced with a suitable vice. I did the upper wishbone bushes on my small puny vice but for the lower arms I had to take them to my mate's as he had a bigger vice.

Looks fantastic. What did you use to get the old bushes out/get the new ones in? I was pondering the purchase of a press but actually for the amount it would be used it'd be quite expensive and they get in the way.
Cheers Mark, praise from you is praise indeed!

To get them out I heated up the metal inserts and then when they came out cut the rest out with a sharp knife.

After powder coating I had the inserts pressed in at Blink Motorsport in Winsford who charged me 20 quid....only because they were such a pain to get in!

I'll be getting the rears done there after powder coating too.

Years ago I tried to use a vice and struggled like hell, so hats off to you....you must have more patience than me!

I took my wishbone ones out with a vice which was easy as they were NOS so not crudded up. I will fit poly except for lower wishbone and rear arms which will remain as STD. I was going to powdercoat the lower arms but the ball ache of pressing out the bearing bush and putting it back in makes me think i'll probably just mask and paint using as close a finish as I can get away with. Powdercoating is hot, otherwise i'd mask them and powder but I suspect it'd melt.

Winsford not too far away but perhaps there's someone more local. If I try the vice i'll end up damaging my freshly painted parts! I really need to move the subframe and parts from the living room.

I keep saying this but its best to use an OE rose joint on the inner lower wishbone.

You cant ususally get these out with a vice. You need a proper press. Mick Dolphin may still have a NOS arm with bush already in place. This was the best way
to do this in the good old days when these were freely available.

I know some use the polybush here but I wouldnt...

I have always removed the rose joints from track control arms using two (3/4"drive) sockets
and a large bench vice. It is not difficult to do but does require a strong vice.
You can refit them the same way too.

Being a married man I'm not alowed any strong vices.....

(Sorry)...

I suspect you also need the muscles to go with them.

Another new one is green too but not as green as the previous one. Still pretty green. No, now it's Blue.
The other new one will be white with stripes. Actually it might not. No, it will be.
BUT, that one is definitely Yellow :=}
