Cheers Tony!....I remember that and was very surprised when he didn't say anything: I was at least expecting him to mention the number plate and that it's only stuck on with tape! |

In a word, yes!Did you ever get to the bottom of the gearbox/thrust bearing noise? The roller bearing, should have been 150989 but wasn't and consequently was the wrong size by having too small an outer diameter. This allowed the shafts to oscillate thereby destroying the bearing, a gear and two synchro dogs. The box has now been rebuilt but has a really noisy 4th gear. Needless to say I'm after another box.... |

As soon as I'm able there is one I have earmarked for you... Trouble is I just cant say if and when I'll be well enough. The one I have you could take a chance "as is" but I'd hate it to be no better. I'll be VERY careful on the pilot bearig on these in future I can tell you.... Jonners |
