I think I figured out what the problem is, I think the eyebrow is hitting the repair plate. I'll remove it tomorrow and try a refit. |

No son buenas noticias on the eyebrow front! The problem I have is that to get the eyebrow in I have to remove my inner valence repair. The eyebrow is grp so when I weld the inner valence in there's a very real risk of me damaging the grp eyebrow. Not to worry, it's a bank holiday weekend next weekend and I have a solution.... Watch this space! |

Hablas Espanol también! Soy medio Espanol, embarrassingly can't speak it fluently though. Think I've got confused here, I've assumed when reading on the forum that the 'eyebrow' is the overhang/lip at the top of the lights, but I've a feeling looking at your pictures that I'm labouring under a misapprehension! |

Thats it, I wanted to use the club grp ones and just tigerseal them in but because I have to weld so close I run the risk of them being damaged. Regardless of them being GRP or original to get the eyebrows in with the panel in place you have to carefully bend the inner lip of the front valance down. It looks scary but should go back as good as new with a bit of hammer and dolly work. In an ideal world you would remove the wings to do this but I dont want to disturb the seams or visible spot welds. I'll get some photos up and you'll see what I mean. |

Ho about a Rimmers eyebrow cut to match the bit of yours that's rusted and join it at the top to your old one? I agree f/g will last better in this rust trap area but like you say how are you going to weld so close to it? Thanks for the clarification P....I was a bit confused about what was going on here too... Jonners |

Way ahead of you Jonners! I agree f/g will last better in this rust trap area but like you say how are you going to weld so close to it? I want to see how they fabricate them especially the corners which are a complicated shape, hopefully I can just copy them. Failing that I'll just cut off the ends and use them if they fit ok. Yeah, sorry I wasnt being very clear.

Quote: The eyebrow is a reinforcing panel that fits under/inside the top panel and the front edge of the wing...
Ah-ha! Thanks Pippin, that makes more sense, I've consulted an expert on such matters,

Standard issue BLMC ouija board, part number SP0666, found it in the glove box next to that "Your passport" booklet, don't you have one? |

I used to have one of those, but traded it in for a direct line to the heavens, BT wired it direct to sod and I can't cancel the contract. They also wired up the broadband to the netherealm, keeps cutting out. |

You could use one of these to replace or repair your NS one, or as a template to create a repair panel. Your OS panel may be ok, or if not, you could use one of these to make a reverse template for that side.
