I recommend that you get Super Flex bushes if you're replacing them all. You will get the maximum discount from Chris Witor if you're a Club member (one good reason to join) and his next-day service is excellent. They will cost more but they're worth every penny. I've had my front subframe, steering rack and front upper wishbones rebushed in Super Flex recently.

When I saw the first post I immediately thought it was too long for me to bother reading, however
I changed my mind and am now glad that I did :D .

Thanks,

Ian.

You guys are too kind,

I will definitely contact Chris Witor, if you have contact details please let me know.

I am a little concerned about the superflex bushes, will they be as close
in ride to the rubber ones.

Only asking due to a variety of different colours and densities available.

Once again thanks,

Great story, great read.

As this is a W reg, why does it have the early nose badge and Triumph badge and the early rear number plate light?

The Super Flex bushes are the best ones and are about the same hardness as rubber. I think they're 70 shore. Chris Witor's website can be found HERE

Hi,

Thanks for the link to Chris, I will call him in a minute.

Regarding the badges, I really have no idea which are early or late, the car was bought with them.

The rear bumper was one where I had to change the centre section, due to not seeing a No Entry sign.

I know that it could have been included in the history/story, but then realised in the near future I may
release an extended uncut version. This will only be done after my car is up and running, thus giving
me a fair chance of escaping a lynch mob.

Also talking to a Spitfire owner today, he reckons I should enter the RBRR by Triumph Club, unfortunately
I would need a passenger/driver and nobody I know can put up with my endless JPS, or choice in music
(thrash/heavy/rock).

Looks like fun, I may go ahead and register if entry is still possible, but any take on spares to carry
would be appreciated.

Kind regards

Mahesh

If you're going to enter the RBRR you will need to be a Club Triumph member unless one of your co-drivers is already a member. I manned the Corbridge stop on the 2006 run. I've still got a couple of the roadbooks .

No mention of his sidelights/indicators, so I take it that they are the right way round :D

Looks as if the car is in good and skilled hands, but are you aware the club supplies faithful copies of the OE cill reinforcers in zintec?

I have been looking through the club spares, and have a long list to order.

I joined after repairs had started, but will utilise the club resources.

I found a picture of my Sprint taken in 1989.

And just for the record,

Pippin you were spot on, the badges must have been changed during a repair.

Do you think it had front end damage that was repaired by welding in a panel from an older car, complete with badges?
