If you can still find any the best plugs I have ever fitted are Bosch Platinum. I think you need w8dp.
Been in my Spit for about 15 years now....
A good spark should jump 1/4 inch air gap to earth and be blueish in colour.
On the fuel system again we keep saying this but its highly likely you have some perished rubber sections on the fule line from the tank and your pump is sucking air as a consequence.

According to my 1974 Onward, Triumph Toledo 1300 HL, Diary of Servicing, Maintenance, Repair & Modification, the Bosch W8DP (platinum) spark plug which I have listed in there, is equivalent to various other spark plugs as follows:
Manufacturer . . . . Part No.
Champion . . . . . . N12Y or N12YC
Unipart . . . . . . . . GSP131
Bosch . . . . . . . . . W8DC or
W8DP (platinum)
A C Delco . . . . . . . 44NS or 44XLS or 44XLO
NGK . . . . . . . . . . . BP5ES
Motorcraft . . . . . . . AG42
Lodge . . . . . . . . . . CLNY
KLG . . . . . . . . . . . FE55P
Beru . . . . . . . . . . . 17-7D
Hitachi . . . . . . . . . . L46PW
This is an old list from more than a decade ago, so I would be interested to learn what the currently available alternatives might be?
