Starting to get the engine bay ready while the weather is horrible, quite comfy sitting in the engine bay tinkering! Trying to get all the bits in that will be awkward with the engine in. Going to have to clean the heater blower again as its sat on the shelf too long, is bugging me now so much I might take it back out grr !!

John, it looks like the front part of the blower assembly needs to be turned to the next screw, if you see what I mean. The bracket should be further down. |

I see ya point Martin, that is how it came off. I'll take it off and change it, and also give it a clean as it sat on the shelf to long. Cheers Bud John |

Thought I'd get the pipes ready as the new rad is on its way. Time to get the engine in soon and free up some space in the garage as want the interior out next.

Finally the engine/gearbox is back where it belongs and I have space in my garage again. Getting the engine mounts to line up and in was a real pain in the a**e

It's Ruby red candy over a silver metallic base coat, hopefully it will look good when I spray the whole car John |

Been busy removing dents as it seems someone had a party on the bonnet and three of the four doors are rotted along the bottoms. Gutted the inside of the dolly so that when I get a spare day I can replace the drivers foot well. Seems an endless quest to find good metal. I need to get the motivation back and crack on as ideally I want to paint it early summer. But the worst rust is at the back along the chrome trim areas not looking forward to that as have to make the repair pieces too. Any way will attach some photos below and crack on!

Sad news!! Due to a change in circumstances I am thinking of either selling my restoration project VGK or selling the bits after I strip it down All polybushed gaz shocks alround and totally rebuilt engine (by Mad Mart) includes fast road cam brand new Weber twin 40 setup both carbs and engine never used, Ali coil radiator electric fan fitted. Powder coated front subframe all new ball joints etc. All the interior is in good condition, dials, woodwork, wheels good too Brand new wiring loom still in packet High torque starter fitted. Not decided on prices yet but will sort soon if there’s some interest here before I put n eBay. Check out the restoration project to see engine etc photos |

Really hope someone buys this project and completes the restoration you have worked so hard on! VGK15W was my old Inka Yellow Sprint that I bought for £1800 around 1992/3 from a guy in Sutton. I couldn't afford to have it fixed when I found a couple of cylinder head studs had broken. |
