Cracking job Reg, lot of work gone into that, looking really good. Don't let him fully colour code your tyres though, much better in black..........

I got the car back last August, and I have been very slowly, putting it back together..
Still a few job's to do yet..
It's nowhere near perfect, it has got it's flaws, but it's presentable now and i'm very pleased with it.. :)

I was being careful not to disturb Mr and Mrs Blue tit who have moved into the nestbox. I found out later that they couldn't give a toss, as they carried on as normal above me while I washed the car!

MOT in the next few weeks..then it's fast country lanes, south coast days and Summer shows.. 8)

Flaws? Can't see no stinkin' flaws from where I'm sitting. Looks lovely. Bet you can't wait to get it on the road.

Well done on having such a nice car.

'Tis a little cracker for sure! You know a car's been restored properly when you look at the "after" piccies and can't see the joins.

Brown cars are cool, Fiat must think so too 'cos their current range of colours includes a nice metallic brown. Set for a big comeback brown is, you watch! 8)

Thanks for the kind comments, they're much appreciated.. I've seen a lot of those new Mini clubmans in metallic Brown, but I think Toyota started it all off a couple of years ago when they started painting Avensis and Rav4's Brown... I see a lot of motors in that shade, it's very popular. Maybe people are finally waking up and getting bored with Silver, and now getting brave and bringing some colour into their lives!..

Yayy.. Went through the Mot yesterday with no advisories! Only one problem, I'd forgotten to secure the rear brake pipes along the axle with pipe clips!..d'oh! #-o Luckily we had some there. What made it even more fraught, about five miles from the test center it developed a bad fuel starvation problem. I checked the inline fuel filter and it was full of crud...alarming as i'd only fitted a new one in twenty miles before! They managed to get it through the emissions test even though it didnt want to run..the thirty mile drive home down the A30 was..interesting..at least the sun was out. Even after all that, it was still great to drive it again after eighteen months. Got back, nos tank in, and now in the process of fitting complete new fuel pipe and hoses.. Roll on the summer.. 8)
