DOLOMITE SPRINT WATER PUMP COVER
DOLOMITE SPRINT WATER PUMP COVER
Hi i have just bought a stanpart dolomite sprint water pump cover ,the thread on the houseing were the water union fits is smaller than the leyland one i have got, is ther a difference for 6 or 12 vane cover if any one can help thanks
Re: DOLOMITE SPRINT WATER PUMP COVER
Hi there thanks for that the thread seems smaller than my old one and the angle of the outlet pipe seems to be angled slightly different so i think this is for a 6 vane, so if anyone wants to buy a new genuine stanpart punp cover let me know thanks

Re: DOLOMITE SPRINT WATER PUMP COVER
Turn it over.
Project your finger down the chamfer that sits over the impellar.
If it lands on the underside of the lid on the same side as the cast raised central button then its a 6v, if it lands on the other side then its a 12v.

Could also have come from a TR7 which may use a bigger water pipe but I cant swear to it..

Re: DOLOMITE SPRINT WATER PUMP COVER
I have recently fitted a tr7 bosch l-jetronic fuel injection on my 1850 and with this system comes an different type of waterpump cover. I has also a cast in piece to fit the extra air valve. These covers also do not have the water connection pipe hole for the connection to the inletmanifold.
