Video of Nigel Garret and 5 other sprints on Catwell park 1996

That weekend we came over to see the BTCC practice at Brands Hatch, and this races on Catwell Park
In the 1' race 6 Sprints competed. The other race Garret competed in an other class.
Keep in mind this is old analog video data, till now its the best I could get out of it.

Well done Hans a fine video.
The last time we went to Thruxton was 2 years ago and Garrett was competing in an American car.
He still hels the lap record for the Sprints class in 1min 32 sec (I believe) he also was the lap record holder for his yank one too.
He seems to be a driver that is better than the car he drives.

Fantastic footage Hans.

Watched Nigel for many years, he was ctcc champion many many times in the sprint up against some very serious competition. That car was very well sorted indeed and with Nigel behind the wheel it was nothing less than an awesome combination.

The cars just got better and better over the years but Nigel continued to punch well above his weight and out class much faster machinery. I miss them times alot.
He did run a Camaro aswell and a Rover SD1 and he was yet again a force to be reckoned with.

Nigels' Dolomite used to make ocassional appearances in recent years and still hold its own, i for one would love to see him return hungry for another title challenging year.

Now im about to give silverstone a bash in my 1850hl, which to be quite honest handles alittle scary in the dry and monday is going to be wet. Why oh Why can't i just grow up. :woohoo:

Des.
