Does anybody know what modifications were permitted under the old group 1 and 11 regulations for rallying as I am in the process of building an historic road rally sprint. Only period modifications are permitted.

I would suggest to order from the RAC the official homologation forms.
You need them anyway when entering an official event during scruteneering.
It is also very important to take a decision what year your car will be, annex J shows also a few differences between the years,.
If I'm right 1975 and 1976 shows a few.

You can read the whole thing on the Sprintparts website. Click on "Tech Tips" and then "Race Preparation"(down at the bottom of the list).

It depends on what your cut off date is & whether the regs insist on 'Homologated' parts only or allow parts used in period. Period club rally cars very often ran non homologated parts.

If you must use homologated parts, if you can go for a post 1977 spec as you will be allowed all of the upgrades including twin 48 Webers. Prior to this, post 1974 you may use 2"SU's, prior to this you are stuck with the standard carbs.

If you need any further help, pm me.

Ken.
