Hi have a fair amount of play in the steering of the Silver Sprint. Looks as if the splines on the intermediate steering shaft have worn and possibly the flexible coupling the shaft goes into. Ideally I would like to replace with Triumph parts (new old stock) rather than reproduction. Any names to get in touch with?

Thanks

As this is posted in the Motorsport section why not go aftermarket or is it the wrong section. A solid mount would be better but not sure you want to go that route.

Hi Paul,
On my Dolly's I have always replaced the "flexible"uni joint with a "solid" type uni joint. i believe a shotened down one from a 2500 isteering column is used. I can try to get a pic of mine over the weekend but I am sure Dave would know about this mod.

It is possible to use a T2000 manual steering upper UJ in place of the Dolomite lower joint.

It is also possible to recondition a Dolomite lower joint using Superflex bushes.

Upper Dolomite intermediate shafts should be replaced with new.

Thanks for this. Yes, would very much like to replace with new - problem is finding the new part. Canley Classics can't help and Quiller can only do S/hand. Any other suggestions?

Thanks Paul
