Ok change of plan. Still building a fast road/track sprint engine. Not going for 40s now as I have bought these!

Transmission losses are relative to road speed.

If you imagine the power needed to rotate the wheels unloaded at a certain speed this equates the the power loss at that speed.

So if it takes 20hp to rotate the wheels unloaded at 100mph, the hp measured at the wheels at that speed would be the flywheel hp less that 20hp.

The loses are also exponential, that's why Darren loses so much.

What's your V max on the rollers Darren?
