Hi Friends,

first of all, I like to introduce myself. my name is Erich and I am from Austria, close to Vienna.

I do have my Dolly for the last 25 years, used more or less for some clubracing.
Now, I rebuild my Dolly again. Does someone here have an expirience with a fuel injection system?

BR

NIce and mean looking car 8)
As for the injection I can't help you yet, as I am in the process of building a new Sprint engine for one of my TR7's, and that will get EFI to replace the current Weber set up.
I will go for Weber flanged throttle bodies (probably Montronic as they are produced locally) on a Mangoletsi Sprint manifold.

Management system I am going to use will be either KMS (again local company) or DTA.
But I presume there are many other options available.

How does the mangoletsi fit? I did see a few in the past, also for other cars but the holes in the mountingflange are way out compared to the holes in the cylinder.

Hi and good morning,

no, I never had problems with stons on my oilcooler, luckily.

I use the sam manifold for my 48 and the manifold fits well. I thought that I can use this manifold for the fuel injection system as well.
but I do not need the thermostathousing in reason of an electrical waterpump. So, mayby I will use a adaptet "homemade" manifold.
I also thought about a KMS or a megasquirt, with the megasquirt, I am able to do the ignition as well, with the KMS, I am not sure if I can do this. Also I do not have an idea yet how I solve the throttle valve...

A lot of work :)
The picture shows what I want get:) its from a german racing team

I've started installing efi on my sprint. I've got 42mm bike throttle bodies with 120mm air horns. I pressed the throttle bodies into a pair of weber DCOE flanges. These are then bolted onto a weber manifold. Idle is controlled via a two wire Bosch valve off a vw passat. The ecu is mega squirt ms2extra. It's running fully sequential injection with wasted spark ignition and closed loop fuel control. The ecu also controls the electric fan and shift light.
If you ran the ms3 extra there is no reason why you can't also control your water pump and temp gauge as ms3 has more programable PMW outputs. As well as sequential ingnition with individail coil on plug.

Mines not on the road yet as I have a bit of body work to sort Should be back on the road for the summer.

Pretty decent as standard and perfect after enlarging/matching the ports and fitting some dowels.

I have been running a MegaSquirt for a couple of years. I currently have a Standard Sprint manifold with injector bungs welded in , but am working on a new manifold.

There are some pictures here:-

Hi,

looks verry professional;) good work.
regarding your brakes, for the frontbrake, I do use the four pot calipper of a SD1, vented disc, fits without big work:)

Hi,
I adapted Honda Prelude brakes because I had them and the Disc Centre hole and Offset is very close to the TR7 measurements.
It finished up being a lot of work, but they work well. Better brakes and PAS tranformed the car.
A better solution (used in Australia) is Holden Commodore Calipers (available in wrecking yards for next to nothing) and Subaru Discs.

The EFI really improves the engine. Mine is Stock Standard except for the exhaust system, but has better power and economy than similar
cars running on Carburettors.

What PAS system do you have fitted to your car?
