Hi all

Been a long while! Still here and still doing the occasional comp event in the Sprint. This is from late November - annual event at Barbagello Raceway in Perth with the Vintage Sports Car Club. Two videos. Car is getting very oversteery later in the race - tyres hot but I also think there was some "frustration" on my part for not being able to stick with the Datsuns. Just too much horsepower on the straights. Still heaps of fun.

Enjoy and have a good Christmas.

I'm glad you kept the wooden trim.

Good drive.

That's really cool you should make that comment. I have light weighted the car a little (perspex windows, no internal door mechanisms apart from drivers, no carpet, no backseat - about 50kgs) but I couldn't lose the wood. Seemed somehow wrong to take that away as that was so part of the Dolomite Sprint - exciting small 4 cylinder car but stylish at the same time in that quintessential British way. And, really, how much does the wood weigh anyway? Still don't think I'm going to catch those 260Zs (which are "probably" running bigger engines).

2.6L and probably triple carbs.
Sprint is going well though, especially on the second solo run.

You'll get em' next time.

Nice videos and very well driven Paul 8) :)

Looks like the car has a 'predictable' handling. Would you like to share your set-up?

- Springs/shocks
- Cooling system
- Brake set-up (left foot pumping necessary or an old racing habit  ?
