Just watching a programme about preserved steam railways and this Dolomite popped up.
Date is early 1970's at the Severn Valley Railway and I remember that the MP Sir Gerald Nabarro had a series of personal plates staring at NAB1 etc which was very rare in those days. Thought it might be worth sharing on the forum.

Would it be possible to find out if that plate was fitted to a Dolomite and if so what happened to it??

If you owned the dolomite in question you would find out if you did a keeper history search from DVLA. I had one of those for VA41, it had a personalised plate on it with it's first keeper. I don't know any way of getting a history of cars a particular plate has been on.

If I recall correctly this car and plate came up in a previous post. Then it was posted that this car belonged to Nabarro at the time of filming.

Or at least to the Nabarro family! I've heard it suggested that it may have been his wife's car after Sir Gerry gave up driving.

Steve

Just looking at the car dates the pic to no earlier than 76, its an 1850HL! Note no vinyl roof, so not a Sprint, chin spoiler, black door mirror, headrest seats, late nose badge etc

I'll get me anorak..........
