Can anyone tell me or may have a wiring diagram for fitting a high torque starter motor.

Cheers
John

No different to the standard starter IIRC.

Just a big fat current wire to the solenoid and then the connector from the switch. If you still need a ballast bypass feed now is a good time
to go 12V coil wise and do away with the ballast....(small terminal in your existing starter loom bit)

It's the same as the old wich burning thing in the early ages. Some people don't understand what they see and just want to get rid off.

You need an extra relay for the ballasted ignition system.

86 and 30 starter white red wire take off. 85 to ground. 87 direct to coil pos.

Some cars came with relays so that the ignition switch did not have to cope with the starter solenoid current.

My Rover P6 is so fitted. Its a moot point if the ignition switch lasts longer. Indolent periods probably do more damage.

You could use a relay to take the solenoid current if you wish.

Jeroen is a known pro ballast man....so he would relay his ballast. I prefer to chuck my ballast in a skip where it belongs...
(A test of our orange Jezza's english....will he get it?)

As long there are anti ballast men in the UK my parts are becoming cheaper and cheaper.
