OK so here's the problem,

Got locking wheel nuts on all four corners of Dolomite Sprint ('76), got a key with the original supplier and code. The key has two of the four 'blobs' broken off. (None are in the nuts). Supplier no longer exsists. #-o Got one nut off using a mallet and punch. Three more wont budge. Been suggested I weld something on to nut and then try to budge. Or drill existing key and thread in a small iron rod where the 'blobs' should be. Or I can go down the tyre fitter route and see if they can break off. Friend lent me some locking wheel nut removers but I tried to hammer them on and was told they would 'bind' to the nuts but couldn't make them or really see how that was possible, but not sure they were correct anyway. :wary:

Any ideas folks?

you could try drilling down the nut a bit, with care not to hit the threads. then get a decent size cold chisel on it.
