Thanks for posting up the "Rossleigh" advert - now saved to my file :D

On my search for Heron Rossleigh, I came across the below advert from 1979, I assume there was a merger at some point to become "Heron Rossleigh".

Image

They're still about, a Jag dealership I believe. When I first purchased KSF I applied via a V888 for the history. Annoyingly, I came back from holiday in Edinburgh to find it on the door mat, and found that I had been staying literally down the road from the dealership - I had walked past it a dozen times and never given it a second glance

And.. finally (one that might indicate some form of Rossleigh rear window sticker) might not be fully correct, but i am sure it will give some outline to what the sticker once looked like...

Thanks for sharing the picture (this will be moved eventually, to be along side the Heron Rossleigh section) when i finally feel we have a good and strong base to work on. still plenty to find out yet )

I hope we can have as much information, photo's publications and adverts as possible,so I can then re-organize this thread into order or dealership or distributor, which includes photographs of the dealership etc etc

Here's some more photo's of stickers etc I have found.

John, the said Reliant dealer is called Rossefield Motor Co. Ltd
http://g.co/maps/jrfxw

Sorry for the thread hijack. I'll post photos of the dealer stickers on Becky II. In the meantime, I've found the bill of sale for Becky. She was sold by the supplying dealer as an ex-demo vehicle to the previous keeper. The dealer was:

Rayrigg Motors, Rayrigg Road, Bowness-on-Windemere who were Austin Rover dealers at the time.

Not sure if the Duff Morgan dealership sticker is related to triumphs (The name rings a bell though and can't think where I've heard it? anyone any info?)

More pics to follow tomorrow.

Thanks

Some more for you Rob, these may well be doubles for some you have? These are for franchises for January 1972 (launch of the Dolomite).

And here's the Hollingdrake rear windscreen sticker from my car, it spent it's life in the Manchester area before I bought it: I can't figure out how to link to the full size image.

The leeds dealership (and harrogate) was Appleyards. My car is a Leeds registered (oum998l) and I have contact with people who worked there!

As promised, here are the photos.

The dealer sticker in Becky II's rear glass.

The service sticker.

Image
The back of the tax disc holder. Note the DAS sticker. They did the uninsured legal cover which paid for a solicitor to claim for any damages that the insurance didn't cover (particularly in the case of 3rd party only policies).

The front of the tax disc holder.

The original number plates on Becky II

A bonus here for you Rob. Blue has the original number pates as supplied by the Wakefield branch of Appleyard. They had a branch in Bradford.

Some cracking photo's coming along now!

I still have a few more photo's to share etc... I will do this a little later on today/evening.

Thank you to everyone who's taken the time to take photographs and post information on this thread so far.

Hopefully over the next day or so I will be looking into the specific dealers and see what we can add,to each name we have.. (the search begins again)

Anyone have anymore information on any dealerships? anymore photo's?

please,feel free to post.

Thanks again

Rob :)

Ooft! Well Lambs dealership is going to have a fair amount of information to go with it!

Thanks for sharing these photo's! I will be re-organizing the dealerships into some order over the next few hours.
And will also be adding a few more dealerships to the list.

thanks again

Rob

*might aswell leave the Organising" until we have accumulated a good amount of photo's and information to accompany the dealerships.

anyone think that when the list is pretty big and we have information covering "most" dealerships, that we could setup another thread, carry all the info from this thread, into the new thread (laid out fully all in order, with all the information surrounding the dealerships specifics etc. which might be made into a sticky?
