We once had 4 cars between the 2 of us. One Sprint, one MG ZS, One Focus and a Company Daewoo. Found that I never used the Focus more than twice a week, Sprint got used on nice days, MG used by the wife to go to work. And the Daewoo got thrashed around everywhere else though the fuel economy was dreadful. It was an auto though which meant I got very lazy very quickly.

Ideally I would be happy to have one sensible car for daily use by me and the wife and a selection of classics for messing around with. Though there has been some talk of selling the MG, the wife having the Hocus Focus and me looking for an alternative daily drive. could be interesting or a complete disaster. Keep having bad dreams involving a Porsche 944. Best keep the MG I think.

I would say you should not have more cars than there are days in the week though if some are projects then that is fine.

Mark, any tips for getting more days in the week?

With my project dollies not selling I have enough for an 11 day week with a new day arriving soon - mind you most are projects - for someone else so thats ok....

I'd have my current 1850 and just generally prat about with it
a Rally Sprint
a V8 Sprint
an almost fully standard sprint, a few go faster bits and give it like 160hp
and an immaculate Russet Brown 1300 Dolly

there may be a way to add another day to the week. Can't remember who it was in ancient history but they did have an 8 day week. If we revert back to that then we will gain the extra day. Alternatively if North Korea keep testing their bombs we may be able to alter the orbit of the earth around the sun. The further we go away the longer the year will be which will inevitably lead to a change in the calendar due to people getting tired due to the longer days. Maybe then we could have an 11 or 12 day week?

Everytime I open Practical Classics or smiliar I see another car I'd like to own one day. BMW 2002, Alfasud, the list is endless.
Saying that I'm happy with the cars I have, just would be nice to have the
time and money to get them sorted properly. Current list -

1980 Sprint blue (almost ready for the mot)
1972/3 1500fwd (mot failure, almost done)
1983 VW camper (on the road :!: )
My wifes Skoda (oil change now and again)

Cheers

Garry
