Hi,

Has anyone ever used pattern cam followers and tappet shims? Any reports if they're any good?
I have several followers that have some areas of pitting/craters to the surface the cam contacts.
Still always dubious about aftermarket parts ( bad experiences )
Can anyone help with some excellent used followers or shims?

Many thanks,

Chris.

Hello Alun,

Thanks for your reply, sounds good. I need three new or very good followers free of pitting ( not really sure how this occurs but I don't fancy running a new cam on it )
I'll have a measure up tomorrow and try confirm shim sizes that I need.
It's frustrating that I had a complete spare head some time ago but can I find it!

Best regards,

Chris.
