Just found a bit of board under the dash which is secured by 2 clips.

It is mentioned in the handbook - to be taken out before removing the wiper motor.

What is it for? are cables supposed to be run through it? Also, which of the three holes should it go in, it was in the inner 2 but looks like it should go in the outer 2.

I know it's trivial but I'm intrigued.

I think the purpose is to stop any stray cables getting caught in the wiper linkage. Having said that, the one on the Carledo was really tatty, so I left it off and nothing has got mangled yet!

I wasn't aware there was a choice of holes to fit the clips into  whichever looks best, I suspect!

I too have always been inclined to think that was its purpose.

There's a slot in the bottom but it doesn't attach to anything.
I shoved the aerial cable into it.
