Nice to see the Wood and Picket Sprint in picture 2, it recently sold on one of the classic websites for around 8 grand if i remember rightly.

I also recognise the early L Reg scruffy Sprint but cannot remember where i have seen it.

A blast from the past Alun, I had hair then leaning on Ron at the economy run in Banbury. The overdrive started to slip on my sprint on the way home also. In the early 90s I did nearly 40 thousand miles in 2 years with the DSR and watching Leeds United win the old first division title, happy days and they say Sprints are unreliable.

The scruffy sprint is mine :-) But Nick (the previous owner) had it at that time when the picture was taken

Is it ever going to look not scruffy, or will it forever have that "Leopard" look? ;)

Unlikely in the near future. the plan is get it MOT'd this year and change the engine back to the tuned engine next year and get to run more reliable again and put some miles on it again. Then I may think about the cosmetics
