Hi Does anyone know where I can get a Sound Deadening Panel for the Engine Bay Bulhead on the Sprint I an restoring, or the material to cut one out.

Try a PM to user SprintMWU773V

I think he had some made and may well have one left.

I recently had one made up by Aldridge trimming. They already had a pattern for a standard dolomite but i sent them my old sprint one to copy as sprint ones are slightly different (something to do with the manifold I believe). I can't remember the exact cost but £50 is probably not far off.

I gave Aldridge Trimming an original but damaged 1850 one to use as a template which they then digitised so anyone can now order one. The Sprint one has a cut out for the exhaust heat shield but is otherwise the same.

I sold out in 2012!

Do you know the material its made from?. I removed mine when I did engine bay respray and wasnt sure about refitting one if it was a water trap like the originals. If its closed cell foam it should be ok.

Cheers

Tony

It looks more like a cross between a Rubber & Foam quite dense.
