Bit of a bu99er but when doing the steering rack today found one of my engine mounts was totally knackered. If I'm right the metal plate should have the notch facing up and to the front? If so then the mount is wrong too. I guess I'll do both. What's the nearside one like to get off?

No harder or easier than the offside, a pair of nuts and bolts onto the subframe and a pair of nuts onto the engine bracket. The bracket with the notch is a separate part to the mounting incidentally

Yes I meant the bracket. They're handed I believe, notch up and forward?

Rack changed, both mounts renewed, steady bar adjusted and tracking set.

Day and a half of work but excellent result, the 'to-do' list gets shorter and shorter
