I need a decent grease gun with a flexy hose and decent end that fits our grease nipples. Anyone have any recommendations?

Cheers

Tony

See if you can find a Wanner 315, Made in Switzerland some years ago. I still have my Dad's one. The flexi hose has long gone (somewhere) but the big advantage is that this grease-gun will pump oil as well as grease. So you can use it to try and unblock grease nipples with hardened grease in them. The ability to pump oil is a big plus for items like Lotus front trunnions ( GT6 / Herald etc;). A long trigger handle means lots of pressure for little effort. And bleeding after filling is a cinch with the side mounted bleed valve. Make sure that this hasn't been lost.
I have 2. One for oil and one for grease.
HTH,
Tony.

Trouble is I cant remember what hose I used. At the time I had a Midget 1500 so I would suggest that it was probably an MG hose that I had laying around!

yes UNF sounds about right but maybe 1/8 bsp into the gun?. Prop easier to buy the correct hose and fitting :)

Cheers

I managed to get the pipe-and nozzle off a similar one and the bit that goes into gun has a 14mm spanner size, with a 9.55mm OD short parallel thread = 0.3795 in. The thread was close to 1.00mm pitch and also 28tpi.
So from my trusty Zeus I deduce it is probably 1/8 BSP 28 tpi ...Maybe 3/8-24 UNF.
I did note it had been sealed with something like ptfe tape. No copper washer though.
Sorry I can't get the other end off. I didn't want to damage it.
Tony.
