I’d like to find out how many Dolomite owners there are in Perth WA. I assume would be mostly Sprints but interested in forming a group of any Dolomite owners incl modified and off the road rebuilds/projects. It would be good to arrange an occasional get together.

Please respond here including brief details of your car. I'll start - white 1980 Sprint imported to Australia in 2003.

Hi Stevo,

If its the same Gerard - and it almost has to be - then it's meeting him at the classics and coffee thing last week that made me think to start this thread !!

What is the Facebook group ? WA or Australia-wide? I don't have a facebook account anyway (and would probably resist it at gunpoint as well.....)

thks

olr159w,

Those are exactly my sentiments regarding facebook.

I expect I'm no good to you, being over here on the right coast.

Cheers,
Rob

Hi Rob,

Tidy looking car

Did you mean right as in correct or right as in "not left"

It's an important distinction.

It would be good to get a group of Australian owners in contact, even those on the right coast, as well and no harm going down that road. Ha, pun intended. But specifically looking for WA owners with a view to catching up in person. I know we are few but it's not looking too good so far.....

"Not Left" of course.
Things here are no more "Correct" than they are over there.

:-)

Just checking for anti WA sentiment ;-)

But you are right. Much is not correct everywhere

Paul Roberts has been on the Motorsport pages here with his silver sprint at the Albany Historic races viewtopic.php?f=3&t=31331&hilit=Albany

There are quite a few Aussie Sprints listed on here, http://www.triumphowners.com/model/?mod ... ilter-form just not sure how easy it is to identify the who and where. This site has been going quite a while now. I am sure it was Garth in Tasmania (speedracer on here) who started it. You could try to PM him?

Straylight (now in Adelaide) had also put together quite a list of Sprints he had come across, but not seen him post on here for quite a while. You could also try to PM him?

In fact if you search 'Perth' on this forum, you come up with quite a few names who have been on this site at some time.

Best of luck with your quest

Geoff

Thanks. Look on that other website briefly for 1980 Sprint and you'll see mine.

It's late here. I can't figure out how to search either site - this or other - for peoples locations. Gotta sleeeeep

I'm going to bump this thread periodically for a bit in case there are some occasional browsers. Oh, there you go..
