I believe the 1500 clutch hydraulics system has a bad name and a number of owners have resorted to changing the plastic hydraulics pipe but I have recently been checking out my 1500 clutch hydraulics system and discovered that the problem was wear in the hole in the clutch pedal and its associated clevis pin. I am wondering how many other owners have found that they have had the same problem.

I do not know if it was on this car but previously I have changed a push rod part number 109182 and its associated pin part 112516 due to wear having taken place.

I've seen that happen a few times not just on 1500s.

I just thought that it was worth bringing to the notice of other dolomite owners as it was the last thing that I looked at.

I have seen that (on a Sprint).
To effect a repair, I first enlarged and then plug welded the hole before drilling a new hole.
The resulting pedal hole is much harder than the original resulting in wear occurring only in the clevis pin,
said pins are easy to check on and replace if necessary.

Haven’t checked my 1500 but all seems okay!

I’ll check when the weather is better.

Yes sorry Richard it is well worth mentioning as most assume its going to be the MC at fault, then replace the Slave then the pipe.
