 Post subject: Sticking choke

I have replaced the jet on one of my carbs and now it sticks when the choke is pulled.

I notice that the tube from the jet to the float bowl is longer than the old one (see below).

The jet slides up and down freely until the tube is connected to the float bowl which seems to push it to one side.

The obvious thing to do is start to bend the linkage wire but that could make it worse.

I'm sure this must be fairly common, have we got a carb expert who can point me in the right direction.

I would cut the pipe down to original length and try it
