Could you not have used a G-clamp to get it underway?
Yeah suppose I could, had the rack been off the car....bit more difficult with everything in the way, on the car!

Worth remembering though when the rack comes off next time to replace the shims...

That comment reminds me of a story about the Americans who toiled to find a pen that could
be used in space,
the Russians used a pencil!


:) You prepare the UJ by fitting on to the intermediate shaft before offering it all up to the car!
