Hello everyone,

Back in the eighties, I sold my 1979 Triumph Dolomite 1850HL / Inca yellow with black vinyl roof to a person in the Netherelands.
It was sold together with a dolomite sprint which had an engine failure.
Is there any possibility I can find out if the car ( the yellow one) still exists and where it is now?
I have the original invoice with the chassis number on it.

Kind regards,
Luc,
Belgium

Hello Luc, welcome to the forum.

I've send you an email this morning. I'm afraid I can't find your old Dolomite in our Register at the moment.

If you have more info or pictures, maybe we can found out more.

Hello Ronald,

I Have sent you an email back with the only picture I have.
I know the car was still owned by me in 1984.

Regards,
Luc.

Good morning Luc,

One of the problems as you know here in Belgium the nipumber plate stays with the owner so the only way is to track it down from the chassis number.

In uk the plate stays with the car so through the DVLA it’s much easier.

Could you write to the DIV perhaps?

Where abouts are you in Belgium? I’m in Oudenaarde

Regards
Shaun

P.s. just had a little thought,I have just recently bought a lot of spares and the chap who collected it all (now sadly passed away) at one point was breaking 9 sprints for spares, plus all the other 1850 Dolomites,
so PM me with your chassis number and I will look through the collection of ID plates I have to see if it was not one of the unfortunate ones.

Hello Shaun,

I have sent you a PM.
I know now the car must have been sold between end 1985 and mid 1986.

Regards,
Luc.
