Does anybody know if there is any alternative alloy wheels for the dolomite sprint that will just bolt on and that are not to boy racer. I have been led to believe that the MGF alloy wheels have the same PCD, correct me if i am wrong.
Any advice will be welcomed.

Geoff Sparkes has MGF alloys on his racer. Don't know if they are a straight fit or not.

As far as I'm aware - these are the only things that share the same PCD, let alone any other vital dimensions:

Make Model
Austin Marina
Lotus Europa
Lotus Elan
Rover 100
Rover MGF TF
Rover MGF
Triumph GT6
Triumph Spitfire
Triumph TR7/8

:)

Austin Marina?......

You mean Morris Marina...

Also Rover Metro, Maestro and Montego alss use this PCD.

I reckon but have no proof that the Rover 214/216 do as well.

Sorry, a random thing on my part. It was sold overseas as the Austin Marina and for some reason that is the one that always sticks in my head! :)

I think you're right about 214s - you occasionally see them rollin' along on MGF alloys and a quick google suggests they are 95.25 but the bigger Rovers (820 and the like) are 114.3.

my mrs has a rover 214 with the bigger optional alloys, never bothered to check if they fitted but could do. not sure about the rover centre badges on a dolly though.

interestingly, if the 214 wheels fit, then surely so should the various ZR alloys too...

I think they mean the old 214. Not the Rover 25 shape 214. Mates got one of those and the PCD is 100mm

probably right adam, the mrs is the rover 25 shape, 4" pcd roughly, so a no go.

europa have a massive selection of funky bling wheels, some would look awesome on a dolly, certain types can be made to measure on 3.75" pcd so theres some more choices, not cheap though, surprise surprise.

Here are some interesting alternative 4 x 3¾ inch (i.e. 4 x 95•25 mm) PCD alloy wheels, which I believe originate from an MG Montego.

5 x MG Maestro/Montego 14 Inch Alloy Wheel Rims

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/302972546504

According to information I obtained from the vendor, they are 5•5J x 14 inch with a 28mm offset, but I have yet to gain any information about load rating. From what information I have gleaned about other MG Maestro and Montego, 14 & 15 inch alloy wheels, the load rating is likely to be in the range 400~425 kg.

There is also said to be a sixth wheel available in this pattern which would provide the insurance of a spare-spare-wheel, in the event of serious damage to a wheel on our increasingly pot-holed roads. I know that I would certainly appreciate one, especially as I have always rotated the positions of all five (one spare) or six (two spare) tyres on my vehicles to wear out a complete set at a time.

And I don't find those wheels easy on the eye...
(I have run 14" maestro steels/mgf spares on my car. They work well and it is possible to trim some spitfire centre caps down to fit. Currently on minilites pinched off my spitfire, fitted with crossclimates. I also have some mult-spoke type wheels off a TR7 which need "work". I like 14" wheels on the car....)
