Many thanks for previous advice.I am about to replace the SU HS4 twin carbs on my 1977 1500HL,having fixed a leaking float bowl seal.On the June-July Dolly Mixture mag, there was an article on carbs by Graham Webber, where he replaced the carb to manifold bolts by studs in the manifold on his 1500 TC,making it easier to refit the twin carbs.Has anyone else used these studs, and if so,what size/part number are these studs, and where are they available?Any advice much appreciated.Joe.

I don't know anything of the OHV models but a do have a parts book and can decipher the part numbers.
HB860 is the part number of the bolts.

HB is a hexagon head bolt and 8is UNC and 60 is 5/16" x 1.25" long.

What you need is a 5/16"UNC to 5/16"UNF stud.
I have (many years ago) purchased said via ebay, eg....

If you enter "Imperial Exhaust Manifold Studs" on ebay, lots of sizes are offered . Also MGB flange studs may do the trick.
