I've just been to look at PRO, and the front part of the passenger side sill has been welded on a bit wonky, so the front of it doesn't line up with the curve of the front wing. I was wondering if anybody had happened to use the back part of a cover sill for patching and has the front part hanging around doing nothing?

Gary got me a full cover cil form his local stockist for about 18 quid last week so Tony should be able to get one from the same place.

Failing that the full club zintec ones are available form Alun for not a lot more.
Saw your shell....looking like some good progress there mate.

Get Tony to take some pics.

I did have, but Steve Waldenberg had it for a similar reason!

I could cut one in half for you, that way it will fit in the post rather than courier?

I have loads of piccys from Tony, I just haven't got round to putting them up. I'll have a go this evening.

And that reminds me, I can get those sills from my local welding supply shop. Worth a punt I suppose.

Right, got round to the pictures...Sorry there's so many...
Image
Nasty bit of grot in the sill...
Image
And some grotty bits on the inner wing.
Image
Sill was OK inside, so a new end cap fabricated...
Image
and painted...
Image
And painted a bit more. Note the new inner wing...
Image
There was a big hole in the turret, and the box section was shot, so the new panel seemed the most economical way. Hopefully this will finally cure my turning left woes... :P
Image
Both rear arches had been bodged a couple of times, so new metal was in order. Here the outer bit is cut and lots of primer sprayed on the inner...
Image
New panel in...
Image
Loads of primer.

And a couple of other shots for fun. The new driver's footwell and chassis leg are in this week with luck, and then the outer front wing gets put back on again and "phase 1" is finished. 8)

I hope they used a non-hydroscopic primer on the inner bits...

I recognised that strange bracket on the old inner wing; used to have an alarm siren on it I think!

Came across the old receipt for when I bought PRO the other week, from one Henry Venners.

If you happen across anything else for PRO I'd love to have it to stick in the file Alun. I'm a bit sparse on the service history at the moment.
