Introducing Ashley, the tax exempt 1850 auto..........
Chris and I got it running, then I replaced the rear brake lines and cleaned up front brakes, need to replace the zorst and all coolant hoses before putting it for a mot then a bit of body work, replace the interior and maybe a new paint job. the underside and sills appear to be solid so it should go through the mot without a problem.
there is a good reason for the name, prepare to be bored....................
Last week a friend of mine gave birth to a little chubby bundle of fun who was named Ashley, being a little thing that does bugger all except sleep, poo or scream everyone seems to want to take pictures of baby Ashley, anyhow pictures were taken then I went to my workshop and took pics of the car, when loading pics onto my computer the file was named 'Ashley'.
so the car also took on that name as well.
These early 1850 autos seem to be cropping up. How about our own club?
