Justyn, if you're thinking of emigrating, beware of the long and painful course of inoculations that you'll need before the Scottish immigration service will allow you to settle up there.
Then there's the currency, I think that the Scottish Pound is worth more, by which I mean that the beer's cheaper
other than in the City Centre where it's at least 3x as dear as the dearest English pint in England.
They still drive on the left up there but beware of visitors from other European locations who weren't told about this.
You'll only need your passport if you fly in, but when approaching by road, be prepared to produce proof of identity at Border checkpoints, etc. Being one who regularly crosses the Border, I can advise re; places where the armed guards are all in the pub if it's raining.
