Just realised I paid £1.46.9 for petrol (V Power Nitro +) the other day.
No wonder that £65 worth is nearly gone already!
That'll teach me to look at the pump price next time!

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses.
Hit it.

Just been checking the call rates on our business voip line.

They're a very reasonable 1.9p per minute UK landline / 9.9p per minute UK mobile but it only costs 1.3p per minute to call Sweden and the same 1.3p to call mobiles in Hong Kong. Calls to America are 1.5p for either and most of Europe is 1.7p / min.

How does that work????

Free Red Bull samples brought in to work today. The cranberry one is very nice and does not taste of cough medicine. Yum.

Culinary tip No 237: a hot knife works just as well for cheese as for butter.

One day I'll have a "proper" day off without "just finishing one job" that turns into 2 movement changes, 4 crystal replacements, finding a case ring to fit a bad quartz conversion by someone else, identifying an unmarked Revue movement and ordering a balance staff for it, and putting together a "general" order for stock while I'm at it.

But it won't be tomorrow cos it's a 5AM alarm day to go meet our public

Spent an interesting evening in the back garden looking for the Perseids meteor shower trails. Saw just 4 trails in an hour.
Lovely clear night; we also saw what we think were many bats or very large moths flying silently across the garden.
It beat the telly anyway.
Just warming up with a glass of Scotch.
It was much more spectacular last year; and warmer.
T.M.

Off to the gay bar followed by the casino, I'm hoping to get lucky in the casino and not in the gay bar.
