Does anyone know a local scrapyard who has such a Nissan Sunny B11 saloon with a grey interior and if yes can someone take out some parts of it and send to NL?

As with all Japanese cars here on the continent these were exported to Africa when it was their time so not much left here in NL.

Maybe someone knows an enthousiast that has used parts or spares of these cars and wan't to sell some.

Jeroen.

Not even sure we got that model (the saloon not the B11) here in the UK. If we did, I expect entropy to have reached unity! I haven't even seen a hatchback one in more than 10 years!

When using google image 'Nissan sunny B11' about 80% of the images of these have UK plates. The other half far east. You had plenty of these.

There was no hatchback version of the Sunny. These were Pulsar of Cherry. These did look very similiar and had technical a lot of common parts but weren't the same.

You most had the SGL version and that is the correct interior type for the parts I need with the ribcord type seats.

You will struggle to find anything pre 2000 in a UK scrapyard now. High scrap prices and corrosion has taken pretty much all these off the road. I can't remember having seen one in years and years. There must be an enthusiasts group on Facebook, that's your best bet - someone might have the parts in a shed.

You might be under the impression that UK scrap yards have rows and rows of cars that have sat for decades.... They don't. Strict environmental controls and space constraints means they come in, stay in the yards for a month or so while parts are removed, then get crushed. Very high turnover.
The old style yard with cars in fields going back decades have all gone, sadly.

I was afraid of that but the common view here is that UK scrapyards are still full of 70s and 80s cars also. In NL you don't see much Japanese cars like Nissan and Toyota's, not on the road also. All export. This summer I sold my 1996 613.000km Corolla with broken gearbox for 400 euros for export to Africa because still wanted in any condition.

I found a lot of nos parts in Europe and bought a lot in Japan but wrecks to take some parts out are long gone. In Greece there are a lot of parts donor's but its hard to have someone take out some parts and send, even willing to pay for the time it takes to take the parts out.

So if someone knows a Greek who wants...

Jeroen.

Forget UK scrap yards. Sorry.
If you look on eBay UK, there is one 84 Sunny listed at £550 Buy it now in York. It's low mileage, interior looks good. It's complete and totally rotten though.
Is it worth considering getting the whole thing transported over to you, or you come over with a van and strip it? Expensive for just an interior, but if you ended up with a shed full of low mileage mechanical parts..... You could keep yours running for years?

Seen that one but it's a pre facelift.

Different interior, different headlamps, wings, bumpers etc.

Almost every year has it's own differences so as a parts donor it wouldn't be of any use. Mine is 1985 and has a factory fitted turbo interior. The seats are the same as the UK facelift sgl versions as in the YouTube links.

It's easier to source Dolomite parts than for such a Nissan...

I've been looking on all the usual sites for a couple of months now and have alert notifications on gumtree, all to no avail.

We have one semi-traditional scrapyard left locally, but they know their stuff and keep nothing that won't be in ready demand; I asked if he'd put a request out on their industry interlinked 'find a part' (that the late Pat Roach aka 'Bomber' often did for me and sourced quite a few Dolomite parts back in the day) and he just laughed saying it would be a waste of his time

There are more Allegro's left than those Nissan's.. There are a few parts donor's offered here in NL but unfortunately wrong year and/or wrong interior. I have about 25 samples of various upholsterers but no luck yet also.

The search will continue.

Sourcing parts for 80s and 90s cars generally seems to be much harder than for earlier cars. More frequent changes, more use of mouldings, and less enthusiastic interest means re-manufacture is unlikely. The other problem is when you do find parts, are they any better than what you have?
I think find a good trimmer and get the seats done in a generic material.

Well, with seats our driver seats are your passenger seats so more chance to find a better one.

You would have better luck asking aldrige to make you new seat covers, then repair the seats already in the car
