One of our gang up here in South Cheshire, Bruce, is taking part in the RBRR this year in his French Blue Stag. I am posting updates of his progress over on the Stag Owners Forum.

However, if he sends photos that feature a Dolomite or is particularly interesting, I will post them here!

If anyone else has relevant photos of the event, please feel free to post them in this thread!

I was also due to take part in this year's RBRR in the Dolomega, but had to pull out at the very last minute, due to losing a co driver and then, the final nail, a family crisis needed my presence at home over this weekend. C'est la vie!

Les, my other co driver and I, will be popping over to Gledridd services near Oswestry around 11pm on Saturday to watch the runners go through. I expect to take a few pictures.

The weather forecast is also appalling, with rain and high winds predicted for most of the route over most of the weekend.

Even with having issues with the car, losing a driver, the fuel problem (which seems to be easing) AND the weather, I was still ready to go. Then yesterday morning, my father in law (who is 91) was rushed into hospital, my missus is in bits and chaos reigns. I couldn't b****r off on a jolly and leave her to cope with this, so I had to pull out. Sick as a parrot, but what can you do? Family comes first!

Sorry to hear about that Steve, but absolutely the right thing to do - Family comes first!
Regards, Sam
