Cannot believe the amount of scratches foxes have put on my Sprint at the works yard.

Worse thing is, there is no food rubbish, its just an area for them to pass through and
chase/eat cats, birds etc.

Bosses new(s/h) BMW Hybrid 7 same thing, his old 7 Series same, Audi A4 same, Van
x2 same.

We have a Japanese Akita in the yard, unfortunately due to public concern he is behind
a fence, and now after chasing a few foxes and having had a major leg operation, he is
again behind the fence to stop himself getting hurt further.

(Not really public concern, we are more concerened for him being petted to death,
the guy wouldn't bite you even if starving, hates foxes with a vengeance though :) ).

Anyway, just wondering if anyone who has their car outside has suffered in the same way
and if so, any ideas.

I hear orange peel, and sprays may help, and have ordered,

Shooting is not an option as there are overlooking houses, poisons are a no-no because of the
dog, I did try to catch one, but they are quick.

Foxes are indeed quick, they also are brown and jump over lazy dogs.

We tried orange peel for cat and fox crap, that stinks and is a magnet for children's feet. Trouble was we couldn't eat that many oranges for it to be effective😋

Also tried a gell type of repellent but it washed away in the rain.

The best way to get rid of a Fox is a gun. I have no problem with Foxes but if I had one doing this to my car I would shoot it without hesitation.

I'm not shitting you, Lion poo is the stuff to dissuade foxes according to the wildlife team where I work! (And I'm not being 'funny', I'm told you buy it without sneaking into Whipsnade zoo!)

It is actually quite difficult to fatally shoot a fox, they seem take on matrix style characteristics! That's why traditionally they were hunted with dogs.

Try urinating around the car with good, thick, end of the day stored p155...

I was going to suggest this. It is a trick often used around chicken runs.

Yep sorry, it's my crappy Windows phone provided by my employer that does it.

We have foxes around my home but they don't scratch my car its cats, or one cat my next door neighbours. It loves to sun itself on my car roof, not theirs. I'm a cat lover I have 4, a direct result of working for the RSPCA until recently, but this one I could murder.

Its jumped up onto the roof of my V50, misjudged the height and slid off leaving two full sets of claw scratches over the top of the hatch door. I've caught it on the Dolomite just as I'm locking the garage and that is so highly polished the F@@@ing thing is sliding about like its on ice. So far its scratched the windscreen sliding down it and a slight one not through the paint on the roof.

I wish I didn't like cats.
