Scimitar GTE. Goes ok, better than the 3 litre Crapi IMO. It has overdrive on the manual gearbox, you could sleep in it with a squeeze if things were that desperate. It does what it says on the tin GTE - Grand Touring Estate.

(Obviously not a modern).

There's always the Audi A5 Quattro 5 door. I think most people on here will be cursing that suggestion because it is an Audi.

Another car comes to mind but getting harder to find now Rover SD1 loads of room in the back

That's right, I remember a 2.6SE I had for a short time. Very comfortable, smooth and reasonably powered by the straight six engine. Unfortunately a weak oil pump caused oil starvation to the head, camshaft siezed and tore the cambelt off. Apart from that the car was lovely.

I know that was a problem with them,i had two both 2600s,one auto one manual,but never had any engine trouble,always wanted the 3500 vitesse but never had enough money :D

Got myself a MG ZTT tourer. So far a good car with a bit a poke from the 2.5 V6 with the LPG boosting the MPG!

BAD points I should have thought about, even if at A bargain at £950 - £500 a year road tax, and it is still only does about 20mpg with my heavy foot!
